Command string.substring

The command string.substring is used to return a specific part of a stringvariable.


  1. length [integer]
    Set the size of the returned string.
  2. start [integer]
    Defines which position of the string that will be used as a reference.
  3. string [string or variable]
    A string or a variable with the value that will be changed by the command.
  4. variablereturn [string or integer]
    Variable that will store the return of the command.


In the example above the variable $(sCompleteText) will be used by the command string.substring to locate the starting point from the 10th character (0 is the first, including spaces) and will return 10 characters that will be passed to the variable $(sHalfText).
