Prerequisites

  1. CloudWalk Framework: Device with CloudWalk Framework properly installed
  2. Computer with internet access: Necessary to register the logical number and to grant access to the device on CloudWalk

Language settings

With the newly installed device in hand, the home screen will offer the option to choose the language that will be used during the device activation process:

Step 1 - Unlocking the serial number

After selecting the language (assuming you have selected English), the following screen appears:

This step is important, since in order to have access to CloudWalk, the device serial number should be registered on CloudWalk Manager. Press OK to move to the next screen:

The number 123-456-789 represents a fictitious serial number (an example), which should be used on CloudWalk Manager's Device management section. Follow this procedure:

  1. Access the CloudWalk Manager through https://manager.cloudwalk.io
  2. Select the section Devices
  3. Click the button Grant access to a new device
  4. Enter the serial number exactly as it appears on the screen of the device and click the button Grant access

It is necessary to enter the numbers, letters and other characters, exactly as it appears on the screen of the device.

After releasing the serial number on CloudWalk Manager, press OK to start the next step.

Step 2 - Register the logical number

The second step refers to the logical number registration process:

Do not confuse Logical Number with Serial Number. The logical number is used to identify the device while the serial number is used to grant access to the device on the CloudWalk network.

  1. Access the CloudWalk Manager through https://manager.cloudwalk.io
  2. Select the section Logical numbers
  3. Click the button: New logical number
  4. Enter the logical number (for example 0001) and click the button: Register logical number

Step 3 - Setting up communication

Now that the device serial number and logical number have already been registered on CloudWalk Manager, the next step is to setup the communication:

As can be seen, there are the following types of communication:

  • LOCAL NETWORK: Common local network (Ethernet)
  • LANDLINE (PPP): Landline/dial-up (PPP)
  • LANDLINE (SDLC): Landline/dial-up (SDLC)
  • GPRS: GPRS (Claro, Tim, Oi, etc)
  • WIFI: WIFI (wireless)

If your device does not show an option, for example, GPRS, it means that your device does not support that specific type of communication.

Details of the communication types

Each type of communication has a particular configuration process, as shown below:


1. Set the device IP address (eg 192.168.0.200). If you are using DHCP, the value 0.0.0.0 should be set.

Step 4 - Activation

With the device properly prepared, the last step is the activation process.
